Protected territory with a rock valley and a brook running 15 km between
the villages Ra‹ice and Jedovnice.

Historical village with a church, founded in the twelve century. (2x
grocery, 2x restaurant).

Ra‹ice
Historical village with a chateau (unaccessible for public, itÕs a training
centre) (2x grocery, 1x bakery, 2x restaurant)
Restaurant with an open-air section. Very tasty meals.
We highly recommend to visit the home bakery next to this restaurant.
According to a secret recipe they bake bread by the old way already
120 years. Opened every day, except Sunday.
If you go by, stop and taste the true home czech bread and another pastry.

P’stovice
Village with a lake and mill, by the lake there are two restaurants.
Possible to fish for one day permission.
The permission cost CZK 300,- per day. The instructions youÕll get at
the water bailiff Mr. Srna, also in English or German. He goes round
the lake every day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Lule‹
Village with a ex-quarry changed to a natural open air pool. There is
also a restaurant and a buffet, etc.

Vyäkov
Former county-city with 200000 inhabitants, there is a new aquapark
for outside and inside swimming. Zoo garden, supermarkets (Hypernova),
opened also on holidays (15km from the houses in Û’‹ky).
7 Star‡ poäta
4 km from Rous’nov there is a historical building from the times of
the battle at Austerlitz. Napoleon overslept here after he signed the
peace treaty after winning the battle. Nowadays it is a restaurant and
a riding-hall. If you want to ride a horse, you have to arrange it in
advance at the phene no. +420Ê517Ê375Ê985. Be careful not to pass the
Star‡ poäta. It has no signs.
8 Slavkov u Brna (Austerlitz)
Famous town with a baroque chateau and french garden. Educational
route which leads around the battlefield of the Battle of Three Caesars
to the cenotaph Ð Tumulus of Piece (10km from Slavkov), where is the
day-to-day exposition, every year there are the Napoleon Days (8/13-15)
Ð anniversary of the birthday of the Ceasar. There is also outside pool
(3 swimming pools), beach voleyball, golf course.

KÞtiny
Pilgrimage place with the church of Virgin Mary from the 17th century,
build up by a famous architect J.B.Santini. First mentions about this
village is from 1237. 2x restaurant, swimming pool with buffet (July-August
9 a.m. Ð 6 p.m.) Ð tickets CZK 21,-, children CZK 10,-
10 Jedovnice
Historical village from the 12th century, which flow the JedovniceÕs
brook through Ð the most important karst brook, on which there are 5
lakes (the biggest one Oläovec, 42ha).
On the main square there is the restaurant ÒOläovecÓ, which is famous
for its delicious meal. In the first ground the is a bowling. They cook
everyday till 11 p.m.
The visit of this restaurant you can combine with the trip on the lake,
there are liveries of boats. The price for rent is from CZK 60,- to
100,- per hour.
In this village there is a gasoline station and a pharmacy.
11 Kotvrdovice - airplane trip
The braver ones have the possibility to make a trip in a single-place
airplane.
In the village Kotvrdovice, 2 kms from Jedovnice, there is a aeroclub
Kotvrdovice. After arrangement it is possible to take a half-an-hour
or one-hour sightseeing trip. The pilot has a international certificate,
speaks English. You can watch from above the closer surroundings Ð Moravian
Karst, the lak Jedovnice or your houses at Û’‹ky. The price is according
to the type of the plane from CZK 700,- or how you settle. The airport
is on a hill, above the village.

Rudice
Very nice small village with a windmill of Dutch type, in which there
is a museum. RudiceÕs depression, which was created by the JedovniceÕs
brook, is the second biggest carern system in Moravian karst (the underground
is closed for public)
Course of speleology:
You can take a speleology course, which is devided into two parts. In
the first part you get to know with the atractive windmill in Rudice,
with the cavern system of RudiceÕs depression, you try practically to
use the speleological equipment and you get toknow the bases of practical
speleology. You learn also something from the history of discovering
the underground spaces.
The second part takes 5 hours Ð it contains descending to the second
longest carevn system in CZ at the bottom of the deepest dry abyss in
CZ Ð 153m. This everything in the natural abyss cavern system with wild
water of JedovniceÕs brook, with the help of accomodation ladders and
ropes. This means that you need to be in quite good physical condition.
The descending is max. for 10 people, following by a experienced English
speaking instructor-speleologist.
The visitor is completely equiped by rented equipement for staying in
the caves: special suit, electric light, helm, high boots for walking
in the underground brook, gloves, transport bag.
The visitor has to take warm clothes, socks (even more pairs), clothes
to change.
The price of this course: CZK 900,- by the minimum of 4 people, if there
is more people (max. 10), the price declines.
The courses start every morning at 9 a.m. and end cca at 3 p.m.

Ostrov u Macochy - Balcarka Cave
A village with a brick windmill of Dutch type with exposition of agriculture
equipment. By this village there is a entrance to the Balcarka cave,
which belongs to the most beautiful caves in the Moravian karst.

Abyss
Macocha - Punkevn’ cave - KateÞinsk‡ Cave
138,7m. ItÕs a part of the longest cavern system in CZ and
part of PunkvaÕs caves.
Walking tour 720m, sailing 450m, the time of sightseeing is 60 minutes,
tickets CZK 100,-, children CZK 50,-, opened 10 a.m. Ð 5 p.m. Booking

Sloupsko-äoäóvsk‡ cave
The longest and most beautiful cave in Moravian karst.

Josefov - Bù‹’ sk‡la
FrantiäkaÕs smelter. The original smelter was founded in 1748. It belonged
to the belgic smelters and is today the oldest smelter in the middle
Europa. The whole area is technical reservation and in the administrative
building there is a museum. Cavern system which is in this valley is
created also by the JedovniceÕs brook, which rises here to the surface
is for the time being closed for public.

Blansko
The former county city with 200000 inhabitants, in the renaissance chateau
there is a museum. The information centre for Moravian karst is at the
main square, stores, gasoline stations, outside swimming pool, small
dam P‡lava

R‡jec nad Svitavou
Beautiful chateau with components of French architecture, collection
of crystal, chinese porcelain, copperplates, bookbindery, picture gallery.

òdol’ Û’‹ky
Protected reservation with a brook flowing 20kms to the city of Brno.

Rybn’k Pod H‡dkem
It lies on this brook 10km, in distance of 10 kms. Possible to swim,
restaurant, 3kms village Ochoz with famous restaurant ÒU OtrubóÓ at
the square.
